If you like the look of the stock non-remote chrome mirror, Ford never made a matching passengers side for the Maverick. However, Mustang did have a matching set and they are very similar to the Maverick. I believe the only real difference is the base is longer.

    wow, i never knew that.

I have a matching set of mirrors laying around that I thought were from a maverick... but they are also real close to the mirrors on my 66 F-100

I can't catch a break on a set of mirrors either. Lady on ebay was going to sell me a set for $30 plus shipping, then the guy that she is selling them for wanted them sold auction style, not buy it now. Well she put them up last night and dang if someone isn't outbidding me already and the auction doesn't end until Saturday.
Those dang sport mirror are pricey. Gues I am going to have to disassemble mine and see if I can fix them? The ones on my car now the mirror glass won't adjust

If I were you thats the first thing I would try doing. They arent too hard to take apart just make sure you take notice to where everything goes and color code the cables going into the control knob and the openings they go into.

Also not trying to hijack thread, but a friend of mine put late70s Malibu/Cutlass on his Mustang and it turned out very good looking. Just another idea if you're not put off with GM parts on your car.
