So like I mentiioned in another thread I got the Stallion out yesterday for the first time this year. A couple of months ago I was dusting my home office and while dusting my very first car show trophy, I noticed it was 30 years old. I won that with my Stallion. I thought then, wouldnt it be cool if I could get a trophy at a car show this year, same car, same worn out owner. I knew there was a nice car show in Hannibal MO today, and I knew the weather was supposed to be gorgeous. So I decided last nite that due to tons of stress in my life that I just needed a day alone, with my car. So got up this morning, drove twenty miles to Hannibal and entered the show. Over 300 cars, and it is a judged show, lots of really nice cars from all over the midwest. So I get parked and I am like a qtr block from the Tom Sawyer home. Lots of people were kinda shocked to see me cause I just dont show locally anymore, too busy is my life to take the time needed to show.
I really enjoyed the day, talked with tons of old friends and met some new ones. Walked down to the riverfront and just took that in for awhile. Went back and hung out with Jerry, he has an awesome 41 International p/u street rod that he built himself,,, and it is awesome. They were doing the awards presentation and Jerry won 2nd place and I wanted to be sitting with him, cause I knew he would take home some hardware. So it is a great day, buddy wins trophy, then my class,, I just wanted to see who won. I freaked when they said I won 1st place. I guess the look of astonishment on my face was too much cause everyone laughed at me. I was convinced it was a mistake. They called my name again, and we were kinda sitting way back, I didnt want to be an obstacle for winners. So I got my wish, trophy's with the same car, 30 years apart. Now I am gonna shoot for 40 years :D
    Dan

Wow that's a great story Dan! You have a very nice Stallion, with lots of personal touches to make it just a little bit different than the rest. Glad you were able to enjoy the day and take home the booty too.

Dan, that was great! You got a stress free day and a 1st place. What a day!

I told President Bush about it and here's his reaction...
