Since we are alaways on subject of Grabber hoods i thought it would be cool to see everybodys spare hood! and condition, my spare i got a year ago is 100% rust free desert arizona hood! the only way i could find a better one is NOS :D theres not even surface rust on it, i prize this hood  cuz i dont think ill get this lucky again (y) i remember the guy telling me it sat in his garage for like 12 or 15 years after , hmm wish i could find more like this :hmmm:

I still kick myself everytime I think about this subject.... I had one that was on my Dad's original 1972 Grabber that was red with the black inserts and it was in ABSOLUTE SHOWROOM Condition.... No Rust, paint wasn't even faded, nor the black stripes, Trim was good and even the paint on the underside of the hood was clean and shiney.... Sold it with the whole car for $450 back in 1985-86

without Comet now just keeping in touch
I'm curious has anyone evr tried fabricating a Grabber hood from a regular hood, cut a couple of holes the correct way, build up some rolled steel to crfeat the tunnels, and weld it in? Seems like with the price of the hoods fabrication mught be getting to be a viabloe option? Once some one has template for the " weld on tunnels" could you theoretically make grabbers outta regular ones? That read hood with the scopps removed mad me think of it,
