I am replacing Windshield & Gasket in my 73 Grabber. I have the old glass out & about ready to go in with the new. My question is: what is this metal channel (4 each) that are spaced along the bottom olny (see pic below)? Does the rubber Gasket slip in to the channels or does it set on top? What purpose do they serve? First time I hope I get it right.:yup:
    Thanks,

Sits on top. I would guess it keeps the gasket up against the windshield.

The windshield sits on them. Without them the windshield sits too low and causes bad leaks on top edge. Does not seal well.

Until yesterday the future was today, but now the future is tomorrow and tomorrow, today will be the past.

Mike,, I noticed you had both those going on. You end up like me,, staying out of trouble because of keeping busy. Keeps me on the straight and narrow, and tired too. Keep at and keep the updates coming.
