I could see advantages to this over the other Rotisserie in that if someone wanted to detail under there car that did not want to do a full retoration. My question would be, how would this not damage front end parts? Looks like a lot of weight would be on that front Spindle?
Neat!!!! Where do I get one? I am thinking of using it to "park" my car in the garage allowing the wife's car to have more room in there. Wonder what happens to the fluids, though. Oil, gas, coolant, etc.
There is a guy here in town that makes them, I was going to go have a look. The dealership I bought my pick-up from had some Pontiac on one in the showroom.
I have seen those for years. Even the ford magazine guys have used those on some projects. Never heard anything bad about them other than it takes more room to do the roll-over than on a rotisserie and the suspension has to be installed.
Even if they say the fluids don't need to be drained, to avoid a real mess just use your common sense. I doubt Maverick's would handle keeping all the fluids in when tilted 90 degrees.
Go There... Start a new thread if you have to... We just used to pick people's cars off the driveway at my highschool and put them on the sidewalk, then wait for them to come out from the office and wonder how drunk they really were Mostly small cars...toyotas, hyundais, etc.
I saw one of those years ago... I thought they had flopped, never saw another untill eastwood. looks like a big strain on the suspension, but if you realy dont want to lay on your back under the car....
And here I thought you were talking about me. I just spent two days under our 77' Maverick and I swear I can see the under carriage in my sleep. One of those tilters would sure take the strain out of my neck and back.
