Before too many of you get excited. I dont own it. Yet. Basically heres how it went down.

Yesterday when I went into Orchard to buy some hardware and crap for my truck I saw a maverick and said "Hey, A maverick". I also saw a for sale sign. only 2,500 for a pretty damn nice completely original Mav.

Now today I havent been able to stop thinking about it. Its like a drug man. I want the car so bad. I dont have the money though so I am gonna try to talk to the guy about paying it off in payments or trading him some stuff. I sure hope he goes for it

Since your willing to make payments, if he wont go for it, offer him a little more than he's asking.

The only thing I am really looking to change if anything soon is the column shift. How easy is it to make it a floor shift? Thanks for the help!

Not hard at all, I used a B&M Starshifter on my 71... It comes with all the junk you need, has a nice instruction manual as well. It took me about one and a half hours to install everything and another 10 minutes to adjust the shifter so it would get out of reverse lol But you're gonna need a drill, a buddy, and maybe some zip strips to tie up the cable to the body like I did.. you don't want that cable getting too hot, as it can and will melt if it touches the exhaust pipe for too long. I'll put up some pics of my shifter soon so you can see how it looks.
