floor pans

    hi everyone, i'm new to the maverick world, i bought a 1970 fixer-upper mav and i'm in desperate need of floor pans to get it on the road. i was told that mustang pans work but i'm a little hesitant on buying until i know for sure. maverick pans are impossible to find, can anyone help me out?

    welcome to the board. there are no aftermarket maverick floorpans. you either have to find some in a salvage yard or as you found out use the mustang ones. they are a little different but there have been a number of people on here that have used them. i'm sure someone will pop up quickly that has done this.:Welcome:

    Welcome to the forum!

    Keep in mind that the 70 Floor Pans are unique they changed in 71 and again in 74 or 75. If your not going for an original look you will either need to use Mustang parts or fab your own.

    I have a problem with my floor pans also. So since I can't Fred Flintstone it down the road I'm probably going to fab some in myself out of flat sheet metal. Of course my holes are not huge.

    My step dad is an iron worker. I figure this is as good a time as any to learn how to weld. No one is going to see it anyhow-once it's carpeted. As long as its solid it doesn't need to be pretty.

    I just found this in another thread.

    Concerning the floorpans... 71-73 Stang pans are the ones folks seem to be using for our cars. So that might not be a stretch if your car happens to need pans and buckets.

    hey thanks for the tip, i looked and they aren't bad but they cut off too much. i need all the way to the firewall on the driver's side. my floor is pretty much gone.

    I also am looking for floorboards for my 74 maverick grabber. If I was to use a mustang one what year should I use if anybody knows.
