Patriot Clippster headers.......

    Has anybody used them. Mid length headers 1 5/8 tubes into 3 inch collectors??? They say will fit mustang/fairlane,falcon.........

    never heard of them, but unless it specifically says maverick i'd think they wouldn't fit. :)

    I 'll buy them and send them back if they don't somebody has to be the little white mouse.

    To resurrect an old thread...

    Did you ever buy these? They had a blurb in Hot Rod magazine on the Clippster Headers and they look a heck of a lot more compact than the traditional style.

    Did they fit?

    I guess they would flow alot better than stock manifolds but with the uneqaul length tubes they won't be a real performer header. If they fit they would be another option.

    They look just like the headman shorties for early mustangs. They'll work...but the collector for the pass. side points RIGHT at the firewall.

    I bought a set of these when when they first came out to see if they would work on gt40p heads and #8 spark plug was no go, also tried to install them but couldn't get them in, the tubes come out from the flange a little too much before bending down so it hits the shock tower. Mustangs have like another inch between the shock towers so this is not a problem on them. Wound up sending them back.:(

    They do look similar, headman shorties have 1 1/2" tubes the Patriots have 1 5/8" tubes.
