    My 71 Comet GT weighs 2840 with me in it. I'm about 200 lbs. If I ever get a fiberglass hood it should dip under 2800.:D

    I was curious about the weight of my car this year since I put the fiberglass leaf springs on and they only weigh like 7lbs. each. When I went to the track this year I went ahead and threw 100lbs. in the trunk because I knew I would be under the required 3000 lb. race weight. With about 10 gal. in the tank, 100 lbs. extra weight and me in the car, mine weighed 2989 lbs. :D Not bad for a full interior, street/strip car.......

    Mine weighs right around the 2500 mark without me . Maybe less now as I cut some bars out of it a few years ago .

    Where does a guy get fiberglass leafsprings from ?
