I just bought a Set of Auto Krafters Frame mounts. and went to Orielly Auto Parts. and bought a set of 2316 Mounts . I know that is the correct mounts for a 74 Comet with a 302. I installed the frame mounts and bolted the Rubber mounts to the block. They are not even close to matching up. I pulled the frame mounts off swaaped sides, turned the backwards. to the 2316 mounts to Autozone and got a set of there 2316 monts they are just like the orielly mounts. I'm not a Idiot. I build cars every day. But this isnt working. Is there a different Part number rubber mount that I need for this swap. . So whats the Scoop?

What exactly doesn't match up... The upper to lower mounts don't fit together or are miss-aligned, Or where the engine sits once mounted? The upper mounts are the same on both sides, but the lower mounts are different side to side. Pics?

do you have the frame mounts for the car?

they are solid metal and kinda have a horseshoe shape to them.. they bolt to the frame, and then the insulator mounts to the block and then mounts to the frame mount..

do a search in here for frame mounts..

I found the problem. I was sent 2 left side mounts. sending them back was not an option as I did not buy them from autokrafters. So I called autokrafters tech line and then emailed a photo of the frame mounts to the tech guy and he saw what the problem was. So out of the kindness of his heart , he is sending me a right side mount for free.

Very cool. I've also had great luck with them.
