Nope. She has a set on her car. There are disc brakes on my car. And, I have set sitting on my basement floor.

    Ha! Thx.

Well, I'm not sure that's exactly the way I'd describe it, but I think we both are satisfied with the exchange. :Handshake

BTW, "MY" car just rolled the odometer. I rewarded it by giving it an oil-change and a car wash (I believe that's the customary thing to do).

Congrats on the 100K ... FYI .... the rebuilt engine was installed at 96,100 ...

FYI ... I installed a new temp sender today and the gauge is now working properly in "Blue Thunder" .... :)

Hey, wasn't that Colton's Maverick? If so,
What does he think of his new truck?

Yes ... it is Colton's Truck ... hence the Monster Truck Name ... :) . He came with me to Mobile, AL so he got the last ride in the Maverick and the first ride in Blue Thunder ....

Ha! "Cowboy Colton" wore his Cowboy hat too. Too cute!

D, I didn't know the temp sensor was out. :sorry:

I hope Blue Thunder isn't running hot on ya. It never gave me an indication that it was. :gulp:

Ha! Well, that's what I thought it was doing (running cold). It was pretty cool the day we met up. Even though I was cruising at low altitude, I figured the cool weather was keeping the temp down. Oh well, goes to show you how much I actually drove the truck.

So, one can change the operating temp of an engine just by changing out it's sensor? Man, I wish I'd known this tidbit earlier. I wouldn't be changing out head gaskets on my other Maverick now. :biglaugh:

So, has Cowboy Colton decided on what size tires and which wheels to get for the Blue Thunder yet?

The heat was working fine on the ride home ... so I knew there was no way it running as cold as the temp gauge was indicating (just below the N in NORMAL). I don't plan on putting a whole lot of money into the truck since it's pretty much gonna be a utility vehicle.

So far I bought floors mats, changed the oil, flushed the radiator and got the temp guage working. I picked up a trailer hitch yesterday off craigs list for $45 and going tomorrow morning to get a 2 month old Pendaliner bedliner for it for $30 ... also off craigslist.

When I bought the hitch the guy said it would fit no problem .. that it came off his old F150 which was the same body style as mine. However, when I got it home the part # indicates its for a 1997+ F150. It seems like it lines up with the frame so maybe the shop who installed it used whatever was handy at the time. I'm thinking that if I drill the proper holes in the frame it will work. Will play around with it this weekend.

I'll let you know. A friend of mine has the same year truck so we are going to check out how his hitch is mounted. If it looks like it's too much trouble you guys can have the hitch for what I paid for it .... this is the hitch:
