    351c help

Seen your posting. Are you sure that you have a 351c and not a 351w?
I'm in the process of shoehorning a 351c into a '72 comet gt and It's not pretty. I have few, (understatement), clearence issues. How much room do you need to fit the exhaust manifold? Can you make custom headers to fit? Maybe it's possible to modify a set of pantera 351c headers that rise up and change them to fit you need? e-mail me back at :

Yes it is a 351c, I have no room for manifolds. And all i can say is that what I have heard so far is that custom tubular headers will take care of it. Can not reach spark plugs either, :0( so I believe I am going to be looking for a 302 to put in.

    Anyone have a 302 for sale?/????

a C will fit , i suggest you cut your shock towers back, for spark plug clearence.

Tublar Automotive makes headers for our cars with a C , not cheap though
But they arnt really custom one off headers

Headers are about the only thing you need , other than the rest of the swap parts

For some reason the stock manifolds had TONS of casting on them so they wont fit in a maverick engine bay , but who wants stock manifolds;)

im sure Ratio411 will chime in on this he has done the C swap he knows much more about the C swap:burnout:

I have stock manifolds on my 351C in my Maverick, but of course mine is notched.
