I just purchased a 73 mav from original owner. I was looking for a vega for v8 swap and found mav instead. I guess I am now a traitor for I have fallen in love with mav and have big plans for it. This site is awsome.
Welcome aboard!!! We're certainly glad to have you here. I'm betting there isn't a Vega site out there anything like this. Let us know if we can help you. :Handshake
Welcome to the board, lots of good stuff here. Must be something in teh water, sure are alot of Georgia people finding this place lately. It is definately a much cooler car than a vega Hope you enjoy it. The MCG is having there 1st National Gathering July 19-21 in Elizabethtown, Ky. Check it out at http://maverickcometgroup.com/ for info. There are more things to do being finalized and will be updated on the site.
Welcome GOOD TO HAVE YOU ABORD, I LIVE IN WARM SPRINGS NOT TOO FAR FROM YOU. LET ME KNOW IF I CAN HELP IN ANY WAY!MARK
That's funny, I was also looking for a Vega and instead wound up with this Maverick. I was driving a rotted 72 Gran Torino around with a 351 C and a top loader looking for a Vega to put a big block in. I had no luck with the Vega but came across a 69 1/2 Maverick sitting in a guy's back yard but he wouldn't part with it for no money. Time went by and the rotted Torino, minus the drivetrain and hood went to the junk yard just about the time the Maverick owner calls me up and asks if I am still interested and if so, come get it out of his yard- - - for free. And here I am 18 years later still working on it. WELCOME TO THE BOARD
I have to confess that I was also looking for a Vega, but ended up to ´70 Grabber and I haven´t regret. Maverick is a great little car and I think this car will be mine for a looong time. I hope you can enjoy your Maverick as much as I do with mine.
WELCOME TO THIS BOARD. YOU WILL NOT FIND ANOTHER GROUP OF MORE PEOPLE WITH AS MUCH KNOWLEDGE AND LOVE FOR MAVERICKS AND COMETS AS THE PEOPLE THAT ARE CONTRIBUTORS TO THIS SITE ANYWHERE!
Welcome to the forum, fellow Georgian! There's a bunch of us Maverickeers that live in the best state in the dang country. Well... if you don't count Jimmy Carter and Cynthia McKinney.
