This was in Kingman, Arizona, on main street, 300 feet and it was a blast. I beat this Z car, it is a 10.50 car and my best is 11.00. He fell victim to nitrous and 5.14's. Alls fair in love and street racing, right? I won 6 out of 6, only 3 were real competition though. Actually got to race another maverick.

Cool...5.14's sounds like it might be a hand full off the line.

i've thought that would be fun. but everytime they have it there has been another points race down here. i think dan reaume was helping to put it on with the rte.66 wings and wheels club. way to go steve.(y)

That looks awesome. Great job beating the Z :thumbs2:...I see that guy at all the PSCA races and he is pretty fast. BTW, my best is 11.001 too, hopefully we will both get into the 10's real soon.

I am caging my car as we speak, and then a few suspension mods and then I am going to do whatever it takes to run in the 10,s. We are so close.

He has since sold the Z and has bought an S-10 that he will be running. If you look close you can see my front tires are just about off the ground and he is not moving.....

    Makes me wish I had a 14 second car:D

Actually, I bet I am well into the 13s with my setup if I put the right tires on it. I now have them, just need to install them and prove it to myself...if the track ever opens back up.

Seeing pics like these really gets me amped for the next season...that and the fact that I haven't driven my car in almost 6 months (except to get it out of the garage while sitting on a cooler, so I can swap oil and rotate tires on my other 2 vehicles).Gotta get carpet and seats installed SOON:burnout:
