Hey guys, finally found a Maverick with a body buck tag in a Cali junkyard. 1033 MV62A 16 06 L117431 SPM BAG RMLR 31 5H BRN TAN I read Ford code from Dearborn, Michigan on Cougars and Mustnags, but a couple of items have me baffled. L117431 that is the VIN and engine designation 1xxxxx means that it is Ford rather than Comet which starts with 5xxxxx? correct? RMLR remote mirrors - left and right? 5H BRN TAN refers to the exterior color and or interior and vinyl top color?
RMLR is a long discussed mystery....Racing Mirrors Left Remote?? 5H would be paint color. What was the car??
Pick a part on Milliken, in Ontario. Not a fresh set down, I think that there is 1 maybe 2 more in that yard. Last I recall U&I Auto and Truck Parts at 1435 W. Rialto Ave. in San Bernardino had a slug of Maverick/Comets. Two blocks west of Mt Vernon.
