When changing from a single chrome mirror, which factory screwhole do you use for proper alignment on the sport mirror: front or rear? I know I will have to drill a new hole for the other one and for the remote. I want it to look right and be functional as well....

Use the same front mount for the sport mirror. You'll need to drill a new hole for the rear mount.

    Bobby,

Roz, might have some of the ..."rivit nuts"... left. she bought a box of them a while back and was selling them 1 or 2 at a time.

Thanks ya'll. I had forgot about the install thread that mike did. I'm thinking about using the stainless bolts and nuts like Dan did, the rivitnuts rusted bad on the donor Comet and on the Mav both, had to cut the front one off the Mav, unscrewed just a little then went to spinning. Even soaking it beforehand with PB Blaster didn't keep it from seizing the screw.
