Well, I bought number 8 yesterday. Factory 302 '72 Grabber with factory power steering and A/C. Car was yellow with black stripes and black interior originally. High back buckets, floor shift C4, sport mirrors, factory Ford Magnum 500's, Grabber spoiler, 3.00 rear end. Good car. Front end has been rebuilt, but was never aligned. I spent 30 minutes getting the alignment close today and took it for a spin down to the gas station to put some fresh gas in it. Man, I love V8's in these cars. The car runs very well. Little smoke at startup, but nothing some new valve seals won't fix. Only rust I have found in the entire body is the front floors, and they will be an easy fix. Also has the common battery tray rust, nothing out of the ordinary there. Quarters, inside the trunk, rear floors and everywhere are in great shape.
Few more pics. I particularly like the Play Boy door lock. I bought the car from Eli (302grabber). Thanks again man, and I look forward to seeing you get another one soon.
howd that '73 bumper get on it? looks like a really good find, congrats. save some for the rest of us lol
Car was in a fender bender. Someone put a '73 front end on it. Grabber hood is actually two diffrent hoods welded together. Not sure if it's salvageable or not. Good for a driver I guess. I really don't know what I'm going to do with the car. No one on here seemed seriously intrested in the car, so I just went ahead and snatched it up. My brother seems to like the car alot. He dosen't like the Grabber spoiler or bucket seats though. We may work something out where I trade the car to him for his '73 2 door 6 cylinder car and I keep the buckets and Grabber stuff off this '72. The '73 body he has is excellent, and despite it being a non Grabber 6 cylinder car, it seems like a fair trade considering the Grabber parts I would keep and the great '73 body with no rust. Still trying to decide what to do right now. I'd almost feel guilty about pulling parts off of it to use on my '69.5, even though that's what I had in mind when I bought it. The car runs and drives great after some tweaking here and there. One of the rear shock mounts is busted through, due to some idiot putting coil over rear shocks on it, but that will be a quick, easy fix. Makes it take left turns a little funky right now.
AM/FM/8TRACK, baby. I'm going to have to steal my mom's AC/DC 8 track and drive aroud blareing Back In Black. Ohh, and the car apparently has a drivers side door and fender off a Sprint. There is the distinctive white/blue color scheme with a red pinstripe under that flat black spray paint.
Jamie, if that radio works, I would be interested in having it, if you decide to part with it, that is.
