It's getting closer, they've finally gotten around to working on it again. the engine bay is completely blasted. Paint should be on the car in January, and I will start the buildup and drivetrain work. FYI, fender is not bolted on, it's just sitting there in the pic. Can't wait till paint in jan.
Man, these pictures bring back some memories for me. I (sand) blasted mine 4 years ago - I'm still finding sand in cracks and crevices to this day. Surely you're going to do the shock-tower mod, ay? Perfect time.
the shock tower mod? What's that, can you explained? I just told him to clean it up nice, like put washers in, whatever so it has a clean hole for the lube fitting, is this what you mean?
Where you shave back the towers for easier access to the spark plugs and stuff. Car sure has came a long way, can't wait to see it painted!
suggestions If I may make a few suggestions. You might want to drop the idler arm and steering box to blast behind them and then your paint job will be more uniform. Also check the shock towers real close for cracks. They do that allot also. Lookin good.
