I have been lucky and never had a problems having somewhere to work on a car. So I take it your Dad is not into cars. Could be a nice father/son project.
Perhaps you can work something out with the shop where the cars are at now. Trade him some work for storage and access to work on your car.

Look around for empty warehouses or garages. Then check into renting space. Of course, you'll need a job to pay for it.

im lookin at trying to find a garage to rent cause my land lord doesnt think to highly of cars:( i have to keep everything nice and neat outside or he will be up my ass, i had to get license on my car cause the dumbass doesnt understand that is a race car w/ slicks and all cant really be much road worthy , so kinda being careful so i dont end up a bum:D , but ive called a couple places about garages no luck so far...well you can talk your parents into keeping the car in yard just keep it all nice a clean.

Or get some money and get yourself a super nice mav or comet , something you dont have to work on or fix

    Just an idea good luck(y)

broke and no project car?... sounds like your not quite ready for one yet then, no offense meant, but those of us "with" projects are often unable to buy stuff for them.
then add that you dont have a place to work on one,..... honestly, no matter the level of enthusiam you possess,.....now isnt the right time.

good luck with your plight. (y)

i'd personally place an ad in the local newspaper stating you need to rent a garage. lots of folks dont use em(can it really be true?!) seen it tons of times. just an option, best of luck.and at least you said you were "broke" and not poor, cause poor is a state of mind!

Wise words. I know every time I start something It ends up taking twice as long and costing twice as much. If I didn't have the space to leave it to sit for a while I wouldn't even get started at this point in my life. Then you have to put it back together/ or rush through and end up half-arseing it. That's what I did with my car for years(and it shows). I did the best I could considering I was young/still learning/on a budget/ and having no real work area. I ended up with a car I wasn't happy with as a result. That will never happen again. Remember the car you build is a reflection of you to a lesser degree. Let the best shine through when the time is right. :Handshake (y)

one of my bros pickles his own habaneros(hot stuff!) so were in da woods one day , and this guy shows up. wants to hang with us, were like no prob. eat one of these and you got a ticket to ride. he eats one and says, baaah, thats not hot.seconds later tears roll down his face(hes wearin sunglasses) and hes beggin for some kinda fluid! we give him a beer, and he says, i gotta wizz, off he goes. coupla minutes later the hollerin commences!:yikes: silly boy... forgot to wash his hands. dats a onea spicya meatball!

MUAHAHAHAHAHAH(had to be there, but im sure you can grasp the visual) after that he rode his bicycle downtown and flipped it over on himself(dont ask me how) then he lay there .was kinda hilarious watchin him endo a ten speed.he may still be lying there, not sure, we moved away.
