The one I got dont look like that. Mine looks like the starsky and hutch torino. for sure though,,,, I wouldnt trade your good car for it,,, For this one has some rust. Would be perfect for a total restoration though,,,, but it dont look like the photo. I got a few pics,,, but since its not like the photo,,, you may not want it. Cheap though,,,, say,,, $250 for the body? Its worth more,,, but thats what I paid for it. Chad

If you got a "Starsky" Torino, and it originally came with a 460, they are rare.
    Only like 60 made with a 460.

I was also thinking about why that engine would have more compression on two cyls than the others,,,, especially since its the rear cyls,,,,, Since you said there was a tiny bit of debris on the plugs,,, makes me think that its got water in the crankcase,, sucking thru the PVC and into the upper plentumn, then it goes directly to the quickest point of entry,, like the back two cyls or in that area. If thats the case, then yes,, the compression readingswould be higher from the water accumilation, and that,, for sure can cause a miss. I found that out when I hooked up my PVC in my 88 engine I got in the maverick,,, soon as I hooked it up,,, it ran like crap,,,, I took my hand and covered the throttle body,, like to choke it,, and a whole bunch of milky watery oilly mess came out the throttle body. Late model 5.0s are famous for moisture in the crankcases,,,, dont know why,,, but ive seen 3 of em in the last two weeks like that. Chad

WHAT?? I thought that body style only had a 351C was the biggest they put in. The valve cover say 71 on the ID,,,, I was thinking its a truck motor,, but never had a look closer. Its alright though,,,, offer is still what I said. ChadS

Yeah, it's probably been tossed in there by a PO...
However, 429s then 460s were used in Torinos until the 75 or 76 model year.
The red ones with white stripes, like Starsky's, were a special appearance pkg.
    Like Sprint Mavericks...
But there was an option for a 460 with that package that is extremely rare.
Most of the appearance pack cars came with smaller engines.
    What year is the body?

Rick, I just finished up the new harness, bench tested,,,, passed inspection! LOL! I did it different than some of the photos Ive seen of them,,, I just made it come straight off the back of the motor, then go into a hole in the firewall and, then make the bend around to where I mount the computer. I bet it will fire up within the first 3 turns!! (fingers crossed) Or Ill flip it the bird,,,, HAHAHA!!! Took me 13 hours from start to finish to build the harness. You got yours torn down??? Whats up?? Chad

Red with a white stripe on the roof is what this one is. Never been repainted,,,, very faded,,,, November 1971 is what I found thru the VIN. Chad

If it was built 11/71, that would make it a 72 model.
They started getting 'porky' in 72, but the smaller bumpers that year helped.
The body didn't change much, but the bumpers only got bigger after that.
The 72s weren't available with a 460, but the 429 was an option.
Check into it, that would be a good find if the engine is original.
You can always find a 460 somewhere for your truck.
