Take a look at this, a Maverick Slot car! http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270045494329
Here is one I am building. It uses a current Mustang slot car chassis that is modified to fit. They can be found here: http://home.att.net/~dreinecke/
Thats pretty cool!! I used to build and race slot cars back in the 60s. Mostly the 1/24 size. Had a local track downtown. It used to be a hugh sport back then.
Dennis, I still race slot cars. The club I belong to races twice a month with 6 classes of cars. We run a points series. Check out or club site: http://www.farroutslotcars.com/ We have six or so members that have tracks we race on. We use the 1/32 scale because of the detail of these cars. Unlike the cars of the 60's the current cars are more model caliber. There are also a few message boards for slot car enthusiasts. That's how I found the Maverick body kit. http://www.homeracingworld.com/
