Saw this one today in the Ecology junkyard in Wilmington, Ca.

Engine and related, transmission, floor shifter and mirrors all gone.

    Door Tag information:
    3K93F157468
    62D 6E LF W 3 71
    Dated 01/73

License plate frame inside the car said Abbot Ford of La Puente, Ca.

    Bucket seats remain.

I could not find a buck tag, 'K' is Kansas City?

Could someone please post the person(s) doing the registry work?

How many registries are there? I know that someone is doing the Comet GT.

Probably saw 6 Mavericks today in junkyards. One 69.5, but the tag had a poprivet and I couldn't get it off without damage.

Someone doing all Maverick/Comets or just the specials?
    Wanted dead or alive?

    Yeah, the spoiler was gone.

Seats were better than average used. No springs poking through or anything.

Cool. I get the info off every Maverick/Comet I find in junkyards. Did you get the info off the '69.5? I am thinking about doing a '69.5 registry, and have been collecting '69.5 info for a while now. Need to get my website running again.

No, I did not get the information off of it. I would have grabbed the door tag but as I said, pop riveted to the door.

I have no problem recording VIN tag data from Mav/Comet carcasses in the junkyards.
I am already gathering 1967-1973 Cougar door tags and information for a National Cougar data base. I have collected 100's of VIN tags and information for my friend. It's a sickness I know:huh: .

I will collect any and all VIN information, but need somewhere to dump the data.

Jamie, where do you send your information?

Nowhere most of the time. I just scribble it down in the yards and add it to one of my text files on my computer when I get home. I have 8 text files for each year of Maverick/Comet. Now, if I come across a car someone is doing a registry on, I will send them the info from that car. Such as, I found a '72 Sprint a while back and sent the info to Dennis who is doing a Sprint registry.
