The new Boss302...

    I agree that they are impressive power-wise and are very cool, but what I object to is calling it a "Boss" - which it is not. I guess I'm just a purist for the most part. I even get irritated when I hear of the new mod-motors referred to as "Cammers". There was only one "Cammer" to me. There are a ton of things they could have called this new crate engine besides watering down the name of one of their legends.

    The new block has thick wall cylinders, thicker walls around the lifter bores and webbing in the lifter valley (no split blocks from this one), Thicker webs and machined main caps that are splayed four bolt mains.
    You are right! it isn't a Boss - its better - its a Boss II

    I'm not sure about this block but if anyone wants a Dart block......most ford part numbers are about three months out. So.....if you want one.....order it about 3-5 months before you need it.
