After 12 years in the backyard (i Know I know how could I?!) the Maverick is almost on the streets again. Thanks to many for answering my silly ?'s and giving great Maverick advice. Sure wish this internet was around when I first pulled the 200ci in high school! Scott

hey man, thats a tall rig you have there... looks mighty enticing. I have a question on that predator. I have one although not installed. Is it that great of a carburetor? and is it easy to tune it? Its kind of a dumb question...

Kyle, I have been running the predator since 1982. I was tired of the holley tuning, the guys that know them well love em, I wasn't one of them. Was always runnning lean with a 750, now the plugs are almost always right on. I do have s scoop through the fiberglass hood to accomodate. The car should be back on the road next weekend.. Waiting on tires and wheels! Scott

and yes, it is simple to tune. I have always ran the #1 cam and just adjust the idle speed and mixture control (off idle)
