I've been looking all over for the cc ratings on the E7TE heads. I'm not 100% sure they are the E7TE heads. They are coming off a 1991 LTD Crown Vic 5.0L AOD. It was made in september 90' but it's a 91 car. If these are the E7TE heads, what is the cc on them? 60cc, 64cc, etc? i have no idea. i would also like to know what cc my heads are on my Maverick. Its a 1971 302 with the stock heads, but i cant find the ratings anywhere. I am hoping that the newer 5.0 heads are comparable in the cc rating to my 71' 302 heads. I have good compression on the maverick, chiltons is saying 9.0:1 or 9.5:1 depending on the chiltons manual. and the chiltons on the crown vic is saying 8.7 or something or other. thanks guys.
This is what the mustang 5.0 technical Reference and performance hand book has. E7AE-AA (cars) 62.9-65.9 E7TE-PA (trucks) 60.6-63.6 The How to rebuild a small block ford has the D0OE-B, D1TZ-A, D2OE-BA to have 58.2
wow, thanks guys... thats a big help... i knew the maverick's would have less cc just didnt know how much... i'm looking into the edelbrock performer rpm's and they're 60cc so one day i'll have aluminum heads with around the same ratings of compression as the cast heads. thats the plan anyways... oh, one more thing.... if i was to drop my mavericks heads(58-60cc heads) onto the newer 5.0 block, would that put the newer 5.0 at around 9.0 or 9.5:1 like my 302 is now? reason being, i'd like to keep that compression, it does wonders for me on the track... well, a 10.333 in the 1/8th... i'm worried this newer 5.0 will be sluggish compared to my 71' block and heads.
