I have a 1974 Comet that has trim on the side and I want to remove it If I remove it will there be little holes in the side of the body

If the trim runs all the way from front to back, then yes, you will have quite a few holes to fill.

Actually...most of that trim is held on with welded on studs. They grind off rather easily.

Mavericks have holes ... only the door had studs .. not sure about Comets since their trim was higher up ...

Hmm... I saw a Comet in the junkyard a while back with trim holes all the way down the side.

My comet has the trim taken off over most of the sides and top, and while on the quarterpanels/fenders it left holes, the topside pieces had studs. My doors are a different color than the original car so I don't know if they're from a Mav or Comet, but they have studs as well, even on the bit right below the window (still trying to figure how to get that back on, the previous owner took it off and didn't care about the clinging mechanisms underneath the moulding).

I'd tell you more, but I'm quite a ways away from my baby at the moment (and still missing her dearly).
