I just purchased the Griffin 22X19 aluminum "circle track" radiator from Summit. I have seen a couple of good mounting suggestions on the forum. Could someone please give details and/or pictures to help me mount mine when it comes in?

I would like it to look professional, if not better

Mount it up front....on the core support. Usually works well there. :biglaugh:

    Sorry.....sometimes I just can't help it. :evilsmile

already five posts, and about as much positive information as STMANSER's 5 page thread (the infamous "Invisible Radiator" thread)...

I don't have a whole lot of space. Was wondering if I could cut those raised tabs out (that the stock radiator bolts into) and maybe make that front hole a little bigger for more air flow. Don't want to weakend the structural integrity of the car, though.

Sad thing is...I will have this really nice aluminum radiator in my garage, still in the box, and I will be FORCED to drive around, overheating, with my stock brass radiator, just because all my so-called "buddies" on the forum are smart-a$$es

Radiator should be mounted so that the cap is on top for ease of filling. Common mistake.

Cut it out. It won't weaken (correct spelling here) the front end at all. Then you'll have to fab a lower mount for it to sit in. You can adapt the fox body style upper clamps to your core support to hold the radiator in place. Either that....or start shopping the radiator manufacturer sites for custom mounts.

Scoop, I went to Lowes and bought (2) flat 1 inch by 6 inch flat brackets, I found them around the cabinet parts isle. I bent them in a L shape with a 2 inch lip on the end. I bolted them to the existing lower mounting holes and bent the bottom of them so the radiator would sit flat in them. I cushioned them by splitting 3/4 inch heater hose and wrapping it around the bottom where the radiator would sit in the brackets tightly. For the top I used a center radiator bracket from a 65 Galaxie. Once the radiator is in you cannot see the bottom brakets and the top looks factory. See my post Got it cooled down for pics. Hope this helps.

This aint no show car.....used stainless steel and made homemade brackets, two on top and two on the bottom. They are mounted to the core support.
    Hope this helps some.

If you are asking this question ... I assume you bought one that clamps in ... not bolts in. Would Mustang clamps work?
