dip stick tube

    ok I have 5.0 out of a 91 crowm vic.The dip stick tube is broke off,it's been change from a dual sump pan to a front sump pan.can someone tell me how to replace the dip stick tube.parts needed, how too's, etc. etc. etc.:drive:

    well with a fromt sump your goin to want a timing cover w/ dip stick.

    im guessing that gos in to the block correct? i know my 92 windsor was the same way, i taped the hole where the diptstick was and put a screw in there w/ some rtv silacone , and bought i timing cover with dipstick

    edit: i did it with the oil pan OFF!

    yes in the block,so any 302 timing cover will work or there more suff to be change

    being a 92 its electric fuel pump , so no fuel pump mount, most timing covers w/ dipstick have fuel pump mount, you can block that off if you are running electric...but yes any 302 cover will work
