O.K here's the situation, All electrical works fine (radio, brake lights etc.) until I pull the swith for my park lights/headlights. Then it kills the radio, and no other lights work except for the headlights, and on top of that, they flicker. Now, We fixed the problem once already by cleaning off the ground connections and then added an extra ground wire from the battery to the body. Granted my car does have a few leaks so is there any certain area where the lighting wires are eaily exposed to water? If anybody has had this problem please help me!!!!!!

Sounds like a bad headlight switch to me. Not sure why the radio would go off though. I'd check all grounds, includeing the one to the radio.

Could be your cowl vent is leaking.

You can run a water hose into the the cowl and see if it drips down inside the car.

How hard is it to change the headlight switch? And how common are they to find?

You can buy them new. I got mine at Advance Auto, they had to order it. Ordered it at like 7 P.M. one night and picked it up at 10:30 the next morning.

Channgeing the switch is not so fun. You have to remove the gauge cluster and heater controls. If you need help with that, let me know. To remove the switch, first feel along the side of it (reaching through the hole where the heater controls go). There will be a little spring loaded button on either the side or top of it (I can't remember). Push it in and pull out on the headlight knob, the knob and entire rod will come out. You will then see slots on the front little round bezel. Take a #2 flat head and unscrew that (be careful, it is easy to chew up the edges of the slots). The switch will now slide out. Unplug the wireing harness. Installation is the reverse of removal.
