i am getting ready to have all my body work done on the mav and was thinking of new colors to go with...the black looks probably the best but with the hard water it's so hard to keep clean and it shows everything...i was thinking of some color options...i was going to go with midnight blue with silver flake and silver grabber striping but dunno if it'll look good on a mav... i thought white with black grabber striping, silver with black, black with silver, grabber green with black striping but i think someone already has that!, i need help what looks the best and that not everyone has because soon as it's done, i'll be going to indianna next year for the new castle event!!!!! dont want to blend in to much if you know what i mean....lol thanks alot. DAn~

I guess first off, it is a maverick, you're not going to blend in anyway!!!! That's why we love these things so. Now, if you really want to stand out, and don't want to stay true to stock, Pontiac has a new color this year called Fusion Metallic Orange,(a gm color, similiar to caddy's CTS color option choice. I think that would stand out big time....just a thought...I'll try to post a paint chip this pm on this thread....robert:)

lol not that much of a stand out!!!!

i guess i'm just looking for the coolest color for the maverick, not for barbie's corvette..lol... that orange might be an option with my black vinyl interior....and also does anyone know how much it costs to get my trim chromed....ya know the windshield pieces and the bumpers, the mirrors and tail light trim ...etc....thanks

Your bright trim around the windshield should be
    stainless or possibly aluminum.
Just have it buffed or do it yourself.

As far as colors, do you want something that is close
    to stock?

IF you have good body work. Black is a beautiful color
    with silver striping.

I had a buddy in high school with a '72 Comet GT.
Black with silver stripes and black interior.

That was one of the prettiest combos on Comets/
Mavericks that I have ever seen. I wish I had a
pic of it. I have seen 2 others that combo. I have
never seen a grabber like that but it would be
    just as good looking.

His had the black stripe on the hood, around the
scoop and the taillight panel was blacked out.

I have link to pics of a car with a silver/argent taillight
panel. I think the black panel looks better.

I would like to see one that is painted like the GT350 or 500 paint skeem. Wimbelton white and blue with the stripes and all.
I would do it myself, but my wife does not like white. And you all know it "helps" if we have complete support from the other 1/2. ;)

    so many colors

i checked out that fusion orange today and it might look good....i dont care about straying from stock because i plan on keeping this car forever and it's getting alot of customizations.....it went in the body shop today.... alittle rundown on whats getting done...
i sent the trim around the windshield and headlights and bumpers off to the chromer(specifically because i already had the trim buffed and polished but it was beat up pretty bad and had bad staining due to the car was on fire before we restored most of it...so i dont feel bad to send the stainless and aluminum to the chrome shop but i would have tried anything else to keep it, although seems like the chrome outta look nice. anyways the cowl is going to be flushed and smoothed so no more air vent...but i'll still have heat so thats all that matters to me. windows do just fine. antenna, and door handles are going to be shaved. i bought a pop up gas cap from a magazine i found that comes from the gt-500 it will have the bulls head in the middle of it...the upolstery shop is getting the bucket seats i found and wrapping them in leather with the bulls head stitched in the head rests. many more but i still have 2 weeks or so before i have to have a definite answer on the color so i'm still deciding...thanks alot everyone and i'll get pics posted soon.....
