hello to everyone, I am an old timer when it comes to Comets, I have one that I bought new in June of 71 as soon as I graduated high school. Now that the kids are grown i want to restore it and show it!! Its a 302 and in 71 I changed the tranny from a 3 speed to a top loader 4 speed. Thats the only mod that was ever done to it.Any and all advise will be appreciated, since parts are hard to find in Georgia.
welcome aboard.parts should be easy to find in georgia. i think 2/3 of the mavericks and comets are in georgia.
i thought all the old parts were in ga. a lot of ga. members on here. welcome to the board. i'm sure you'll be able to find whatever you need here.
Where abouts in GA are you? There are tons of us here in GA with Mavericks and Comets. I've had pretty good luck finding parts so far.
Howdy and Jamie has the connection for cheap parts and what he dont have his grandfather has out in his field.
