with the wife that is ! :banghead: It appears that if I want to continue my happy marital bliss and aquire a 73 2-door I recently found (very nice, garage kept and cheap !!), I will have to part with my 4-door. I know she`s right as I only have a 1car garage now. And I can`t imagine leaving 1 of them outside during an Ohio winter. I`ve done alot of work to this car recently but wouldn`t know how much to sell it for. Obviously it`s a 4-door and less desirable but it`s a very good car. Less than 25000 miles on a rebuilt 250, less than 1000 miles on the C4, new radiator, new battery, new seats, new dash cap, new paint (amateur, but very presentable), mods include bumper slide front and back, 69 Cougar tail lights, side markers filled, am\fm\cd. Has nice aluminum slots and decent tires. And the best part, a solid Tennessee body ! Underside and torque boxes are absolutely mint ! Only thing left to be done, that I was gonna do this winter is new carpet, replace front door hinge pins (they sag a little) and paint the inside of the doors and jams (didn`t do this during the initial paint job cuz I wanted to mod the interior). So, what do you guys think ?

since youve already put some time and money into your 4 door, why not keep it, finish it up the way you were wanting, drive it, enjoy it awhile,..... then maybe decide?the 2 door may be gone,... but there is always another one lurking out there to be had later

which ever,..it all comes down to what you want the most .good luck (y)

If you can afford it why not keep them both for a while? I mean no need to rush into anything. It's always nice to have an "extra" car. Perhaps the Mrs. would like to drive around in one while your working on the other. Heck some of the guys on this site have like 5 or 6 of them!:bouncy:

Buy the 2 door, and put the 4 door up for sale for a high price. that way you can keep both. If the 4 door sells for your higher price you got bonus money.

:rofl2: Good one. Really though, I don`t want to give the impression that the wife is the bad guy. She`s probably the rational one :16suspect. We have some pretty strict local codes and a car sitting outside under a tarp is a no-no. I just really like this 2 door I came across and have to decide what to do. I`m really leaning toward selling the 4-door though. Just trying to decide how much to ask. E-Bay is definitly not a tool to guage the market .

of course, another alternantive is to move to where you can have more than i vehicle. i have 10 cars and trucks, flatbed trailer, 28" enclosed trailer and a 5th wheel at my house and lots of room for more.

Same here, good ridens. (for me)
Just buy it and worry about it later...
A tarp is a no no, what about a real car cover? That also? For the winter, how about renting a storage for a couple or three months? Good luck coming to a decision, I know it's a hard one.:drink:
