So iam at my mom's apartment, now dont get me wrong, its not some dive apartment complex, it pretty upper class for what it is. So I got my maverick parked directly under my 3rd floor balcony with the cover over it and this fart box civic pull up next to it and some spanish guy hops out. So as the guy is walking up to the entrence of the building he decides to stop behind my maverick and lift the cover up to see whats underneth. WTF! I would never think of doing that to someone's car. Then he pulls it back down and walks in through the patio entrence of he ground level apartment. Now I let that one slide. So a few minutes ago me and my girlfriend decide to go chill on the balcony and I look down at my car and what do I see? The same f**kin guy is leaning up against the fender of my car talking on his cell phone. So after the few seconds it takes to get over the shock I yell down to him "What the F*** are you doing"
    "What"
"Get the h3ll off of my car!"
so he gets off and walks inside. So what the h3ll is wrong with this guy and do you think dropping a brick off the balcony into his windshield is the answer?:evilsmile

    no.
But I do understand your frustration...:yup:
*My next door neighbor came over the other day...smoking a cigarette. when he finishes the smoke, he threw the butt down on my driveway  needless to say he picked it up :D and apologized.
there are people out there that do not respect themselves, so why should we expect them to respect others. :(

All you will accomplish by throwing a brick off the balcony is more problems. And probably worse than leaning on your car ! Some people are just idiots and stooping to their level is not the answer. Hope it doesn't escalate !

yeah dont worry I have no plans of using the brick as much as I wanted to at the time.:chillpill I just cant believe the blatent disrespect that some people have. The idea of leaning on a strangers car has just never crossed my mind, much less pulling the cover up off of one:16suspect

I would have tried a more polite approach first. Shouting profanities will usually get you a reaction that will only make the situation worse.

I agree - but that's just not cool these days. You have to have the 'ghetto' attitude to be accepted in today's younger society.

Go kick the guy's door down and set him on fire. Don't forget to have your "posse" video tape it and put in on the Internet! Man, that'd be "sic"!

Oops! Getting off topic here (and showing my age).

(j/k newtoford. I'm not suggesting you nor the entire younger generation is that way. That are many very respectable youngsters out there. )

I have one better than that...

...around 1988, I was in summer school (college) so I took the Comet up for a couple of weeks and left the old Mustang II at home. As usual, I washed it everyday, spit shined it etc.

I came in from class, went inside my apartment and I started making lunch.
I heard the distinct sound of something hitting metal, like a ball or tree limb. I go to the door and there is a mushy spot on my fender and an apple core is in front of the car. I look up and hear a door shut upstairs on the 3rd floor.

Long story short, ever hear of Pernell Roberts, he was on the show 'Bonanza'-older brother-back in the 60's/70's. He was also in the TV series 'Trapper John, MD' I believe. He was in town doing a play and was temporarily living upstairs from me. He apologized, he claimed he was aiming for the bushes. He offered me tickets to the play he was doing.

    I know how you feel.

Some People just have no idea how hard some of us work to have nice things. They just do not understand & can't appreciate what there leaning against. Makes me SICK. I would have yelled just like you did and if they do something to the car well then you will have to show them the errors of there ways. People get off way to easy for things they do today because fear of retalliation. Years ago you would have gotten a swift kick in the a**. You would have appologized and said Thank You and took it as a lesson but not anymore. SICK SICK

I'm with Dennis on this, I just hope you don't end up haveing some real damage done to your car now.

Hell, I think the outside of my car gets sat on more then the inside. Personally, I could care less with my '72. But if it was my '69.5, then we'd have a problem. :yup:

Just to play devil's advocate, I'm fairly certain I would've done the same thing. People are creatures of habit and they treat you the way you teach them to treat you. Yes there is a margin of possibility that he may feel vengeful and perpetrate some act of vandalism. However I prefer to think it's unlikely because at least now he knows that someone's watching the car and gives a crap about it, and that may be enough of a deterrent to keep him from screwing with it again.
