    Hello,

I just found your web site by browsing the internet to try and find out the value of my parent's 72 Maverick.

My Mom has owned this car since it was brand new. It is is very good shape, with a few very minor dings. My Mom is at the age where she cannot safely drive anymore and I am trying to help them sell the car.

It is a 1972, 4 door, automatic, with AC and power steering. The AC needs recharging, but other than that it is in very good shape. Never been in an accident. A few minor dings, but nothing big. White with a brown vinyl top. 28.000 original miles.

Can anyone help me price it for sell. The car is in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

I find that a little hard to believe that a 72 Maverick could be worth that much. I'm heading to ebay to check it out. Does anyone have an idea of what a FAIR price would be for my mom's 72 4 door?

    Hard to tell without pictures.
Is there any rust? What kind of shape is the interior in? What is the condition of the Vinyl top?
4 door cars will typically bring less money than 2 door cars.

lots of things determine the price. also is it a 6 cylinder or v-8. pictures would help. another thing that sometimes is a factor is the part of the country the car is from. seems some places have a harder time selling cars than others. good luck.:)

Thanks for your feedback....sorry I don't have any pictures as of yet. This car is a V-8, interiour is in excellent conditon except that the two driver's door inside handles are both broken. No rust....been garaged for its entire life. Never in an accident, and only very few minor dings on the body. It is located in Colorado Springs. Thanks again for your feedbacl. I am just learning how to use this site, and the classifieds, etc.

Sounds like a nice car. Without pics, I would think the car would sell in the $2500.00 -5000.00 price range. As always, ebay can be an unreliable, and inflated market evaluation. If someone has to have it, and it is on ebay, then their price dictates the selling price, not the real world price. Keep us posted and if you can post pics you might just list it here for sale.

Dan's probably the most accurate. The $11k one was a fluke, Mavs (and especially 4-doors) never go for that. A 4-door may be a little more difficult to sell as most buyers/collectors are out for the 2-doors, but there's definitely a market and you've found the right place.
