I've seen 'em too, but nothing compared to THIS. Yes, the Drag Tag is in Australia. Actually (as we know), the Aussies have some FINE race cars. Maybe one day Drag Tag will come to the big cities and Houston will get one. Heck, Holic, you might not even get any wheel hop using this thing!
A few Drag Tags throughout the US would get all the show cars. Think of all the guys who built bad-to-the-bone show cars, but are afraid to run them on the track. This might be an answer for them. Hmmmm....wonder if a franchise is available and if they can really make money...hmmmm.
I think sometimes what they are afraid of is poor performance. Nothing more embarassing than a mega-dollar chrome machine that runs 14.0 flat.
I agree...we talked about this at the Round-up.....I call it: "when fantasy meets reality" See, as long as they never take it to the track....they can only dream, imagine, assume what there car will do, but once they get a timeslip.....then "fantasy meets reality"
Right on! How many times have you read a magazine article about one of these cars where the owner stated,"Haven't had time to take it to the dragstrip yet." Really?
Unfortunately, I've been a victim of this on several occasions (I won't even talk about the Roundup disappointment - Excuse Alert! "Alternator problems"). The first time I ran my 1990 Mustang 5.0 Convertible, I wanted to just drive straight home after finally crossing the quarter mile finish line. That was the longest 15 and a half seconds of my life!!! I swear I died a thousands deaths before I tripped the beams. Here's a bonus laugh: I'd just put underdrive pullies and a Cold-Air intake on it. I just knew I was going to set a new track record with that thing! There is a happy ending: With the help of Nitrous bowdown, I finally got it to run low 7's @ 101 mph in the 1/8th (never ran it in the quarter).
i saw this on the drr web site. i believe you better have money to the tune of over a million to start one of these. go for it ray.
