ok i have a 71 grabber that is grabber orange and my interior is red and black. but i really dont like the grabber orange sooooo im gonna change it but i dont know to change it to. i definatly want to keep the stripes but it doesnt matter what color just so long as it looks good. i have the shelby rally style rims. Just like the ones austin richards has on his 1971 maverick. any ideas on what color/colors i should paint it.

    Opinion...

If you have the black interior with red inserts in the
center of the seats, why not go with red.

If you want to keep it red, Ford 2B is a factory color
    otherwise known as 'bright red'.

It looks good with the black/red interior. I know a
lady with that combo here in Raleigh/Durham. It looks
    pretty good.

Other than that, white may be the only color I would
consider to go with black/red interior.

My neighbor as a kid (where I first got the itch to get a mav) had black and red interior with a medium grey super glossy paint. It was bad a$$. I have never seen one like that before and it sounds a little funny but it looks awesome and unique. Just my opinion.

Maybe you could be a high roller and paint the car black and have that red clear coat stuff that makes it look red when it shines in lights at night! That might look cool. As far as the grey thing, it would look nice but it seems too firebird trans am for me.

First choice is to paint the car black, and do all the grabber stripping color (including tail light panel) in red. Second, paint it silver with red stripping. All gloss, no flat colors.

i like the medium grey high gloss idea but a friend of mine told me about this combo tell me what you think. Egg shell white like what the challengers came with but with silver flakes in it and the grabber striping will be high gloss black.
