I used bondo when putting a fiberglass scoop on a stock hood....started cracking within days....now it is fiberglass to fiberglass. Been that way for 3 years now...I am starting to see a little crack, but I think that is due to vibration more thananything else.

i also fill gaps in a dash with epoxy then sand it smooth and apply epoxy over it.
after its painted it looks like one of those dash caps. but it only lasted for 8 months
    in the derect sun.

im going to fiberglass my rear floor area where it meets the seat in that littal curve where the floor gose vertical.fiberglass is my specalty iv worked with it for about 7 years now.
i make sure to get all the rust out beause it causes anodic corosion and spreds as it oxidises.which sucks!

I used to lay fiberglass in molds to make ground effects for the Maxima, Sentras, 240SX and the Pulsar. The pulsar was one I got to help design (of course others were probobly made). Was a place called "Spoilers R Us" in Dallas. That's where I got my L88 scoop. They gave it to me and helped teach me how to work with resin and glass, paint and stuff like that. I don't know everything, just enough to pizz off the body man and the painter.:D

More than one Mav or Comet has been repaired using good ol Bondo Technology!! If you are working on it and enjoying it, THAT IS ALL THAT COUNTS!!!!! Let us know what rust treatment you used. It might come in handy for someone else.
    Thanks and Happy Mavericking!!

well guys thanks. this is the biggest post iv ever started. yup bondo look way better then a hole. and the stuff was just called rust remover at autozone. it was in a little bottel about 5in tall. and on the recit it ays "navel jelly" that was to remove the rust. there was the same bottle next to it and it was to turn the rust into a paintable sandable primer. it works way good in soo happy now i can clame. RUST FREE MAVERICK lol ya today i think im going to get all the surface rust off my trunk lid and also the nose of my hood
