Well, today I won the bid for a new 300cid Flex plate, and a clutch/brake pedal assy. Now I have to figure out what I am going to do for a transmission. I have a new Toploader 4-speed, hurst comp shifter, lakewood bellhousing in my basement. Or I could buy an AOD and install it. I really would like to install the 4-speed, but no one has done this yet.
    A 250 I6 and a Toploader 4-speed. The possibilities.

    Ken,
a 250 with a top loader is easy if you already have the stuff for the clutch. The standard V-8 bellhousing and a ten inch clutch. That is just TOO easy!

Whoa, that could be fun!!! Put in the top loader and see how it runs; if all else fails you can always swap them out! :bouncy:

I'd go with the 4 speed!!!!!! Banging gears is too much fun.

Tom, you are correct. I didn't expect to win the pedals. So I bid/won the flexplate. An AOD is also in my thinking. That's why the flexplate.

Oh yeah, the pedals are for the 4 speed conversion. If I do the 4-speed, I'll have no use for the Flexplate.
