With all the front drum to disk conversions (non power) What front brake hoses is everyone using? Can someone tell me a YR, make, model to ask for? I got a set , I think just front disk hose with an adapter. but it's doesn't appear long enough and I don't like the way it bends. Looks like it may kink during hard turns.

Is everyone using just longer hoses or changing the hard lines as well or what? I have searched and seem to find a lot changing the master and hard lines but is anyone just changing the hoses?

    Any help appreciated.

When I changed the drums on my 69 1/2 to disk I used a 75 doner car. Enerything was used from the 75. The only thing I had to buy was an adaptor for one of the brake lines to fit on the proporshining valve. I used the line mounts from the 75 and re-routed the hard lines on the car to fit the new location. You have to be very carful when doing this. I was lucky and my brake lines do not have any rust on them so they were pretty easy to re-route. Lines that are rusted will be harder to do due to them being brittle from the rust. Just take your time and it will turn out fine. What you need off a doner car is the master cyl, prop valve, compleate steering knuckle assy that includes the spindle, rotors and calipers with hoses(just take the ball joints, the tie rod ends and brake line at the sub frame loose and remove the entire assy), and the line mounts that go on the front sub frame. I also had to re-rout the lines that went to the prop valve due to the difference in way they mount. I also had to enlarge one hole a little bit to get the prop valve to mount in the stock mounting holes on the car. It takes a little thought but is pretty straight forward.

Good luck on the swap. It will be the best thing that you do to your car for the money.

I used stock 74 disc hoses for the swap on my 73, them seem fine (so far)

Use any '74-'77 disc brake hoses. You must extend the hard lines to in front of the spindle. Drum brake hard lines stop behind the spindle. Easiest way to do this is by getting some from a donor disc brake Maverick/Comet...
