what's going on,i'm trying to build my 74 maverick that i ran back in the early and mid 80's.i got it back may be 8 to 9 month ago,i ran a 10.1 351c c6 trans and 430 gears with a 600 lift soild cam.the car ran mid to high 12's on muscle and mid to low 11's on nos.i was planning to build a 393 or 408 but my money has got a little short.plans where jon kasse cylinder heads,victor jr. intake demon carb.soild roller cam.was trying to make as close or better than 600 streetable horse power with no more than 10.8.1.now my plans are to build a 30 over 351w if i can find a combonation that would give me 500hp or more and with no more than 10.8.1 so it can run on pump gas.i'm will to run a soild roller cam if i have to.so if any one has or know of a combonation that would give me 500 streetable horse power please let me know,i'm ready to ride again. thank you -morris-
383 or 392 stroker kit with Flat top pistons and good flowing set of Aluminum or Iron Heads ( minimum 2.20 intake , 1.90 exhoust ) with a streetable solid roller cam , victor jr intake and 750 DP Holley , MSD, some 1 5/8 headers - You will be real close to 500 HP at the Flywheel - this is what I`m running in a vintage road race car with a more radical cam and it makes over 500 HP @ 6800 RPM - Only problem with the whole deal is cost . It ain`t cheap - If you want to play , you got to pay! Good Luck
