    Mean Mav,
Can't Blame a guy for trying! Why not just change the bezals and go with the Grabber type front? Got to admit they look Great!

You can mask off the trim and paint the bezels black ... no need to find new ones ... Both my cars have standard bezels paint black. Nice black bezels are hard to find ... even NOS ones are generally scratched from 30 years on shelf and have to be painted anyway.

Yep. The headlight rings on my '72 are from my '76 and are factory black. Terry also has a non Grabber parts car in his back yard that's the same way.

How do you prep that plastic to paint i have been wanting to do black on the Comet for both grill and headlight bezels. I haven't done it cause I woudl rather have the argent color than a flakey black one. I want to know I did it to last.

    Slightly O/T...

What is the relation between black grilles on the later models???

I notice my 75 had some sort of appearance package, other than LDO.
It had the halo roof, sport mirrors, deluxe door panels, and the black grille.
Has anyone noticed that maybe the gray grille cars didn't have sport mirrors, for example?
Maybe it was a package, separate from the Grabber or LDO...
    Just a thought.
I don't have any info from 75 myself.
I have a 73 buyer's book, but haven't looked at it for a while. Probably not the same as later years anyway.
