Do any of you guys know if there are any difference with the 94-95 5.0 engine out of the Mustang, compared with the 80's -93 models? I know the 94-95 uses a different 5speed (T45?), I have a T5 already and need to know if everything would work on the 94-95 engine. I've got a line on a good 95 HO 5.0 engine with computer, wiring all that for under $500. I know some of you guys have Mustangs so maybe you could help me out. I would rather buy this than rebuild an old 302, even if it needs an overhaul. I've been wanting EFI for awhile now so this maybe the best route for me and the Mav.

I bought a 95 engine for my Grabber. From what I have read 86-93 accessories and brackets will not be a direct bolt on ... apparantly the timing chain cover, waterpump, brackets, etc ... are unique to 94-95. That didn't matter to me since I was converting to carb anyway ...

That's About All The Difference Between The 2 As Far As Fitment. I Had Thought About Installing My 5.0 From My Wrecked 94 G T But Decided To Build The Car Back. And 94-95 Uses A T45, Just Slightly Different From The T5 And Has A Better 3rd Gear Support System. Should Bolt Right Up Though

If you do some research you will find out that the computers on 94 and 95 mustangs are different than the other years , it doesn't like modifications at all.
I have a 94 mustang that I added BBK long tubes and a cold air intake to and it gives me fits with idleing now. Someone makes an aftermarket harness to run an older computer but I haven't found one yet.

Even the older computers will at times take issue with modifications. That's why you need this:

I spent all of my mustang modification money to buy the maverick so I have to live with the bad idle for a while. The good thing is it doesn't spend much time ideling. :drive:
