definately, titles can be a pain. i moved to NV with my jeep and had registered it but had left the title in CA, which i was told by the NV DMV was not a big deal. went to the closest CA dmv with my brother in law when he bought it from me and they insisted that i would have to pay registration penalties to transfer title or that he would have to, even though i had the proof it had been registered the whole time in NV and i had the pink slip in hand. that is just one of many adventures ive had personally, i have had friends with major problems getting their Title and it stinks. seems it is always a pain even when you do it right so save yourself the headaches of dealing with someone who wants to make you do it the wrong way.

Which is why I said "I would suggest checking with the DMV in your state and find out what the process is for getting a title." I was simply using GA as an example as to how diffrent states can be.

Yeah, unfortunately OKLA ALWAYS checks the VIN on any car coming in from out of state, regardless of age or condition. But, they'll come to your house and check it so you don't have to trailer the car down to the office. In fact, I had a MO and AR car transferred like this last month. In Claremore they do it for free, but I know that some offices charge. Luckily your car was from GA, I'm battling on a Texas car right now. It's not as easy. :16suspect Let me know if you need any help, I've got all the form numbers that you need to get an OKLA title on an out of state (or in state) car with no title. It might help if you buy a car from another state besides GA. (y)

The guy that delivered mine said that Texas and South Dakota were both real easy to get titles for. I've learned now that Alabama is real easy (know a guy who will do if for you for $50 - or used to).
