I installed a tach today and everything is cool.. just wondered where a good place would be to draw "ignition only" power. The fuse block? Also, where the heck can I tap into the dimmer switch besides at the switch itself? because accessing the switch on my car is a pain. I will be installing a standard oil pressure/volts/water temp triple gauge set soon and will need the same power hook ups. Thanks guys.

    Rock on,
    Josh

You can use the accessory connection on your fuse block for power. The wire used for you radio light can be used on the tach since it dims with the instrument lights.

Great Thanks. I disconnected and removed the radio since I am planning on using the bezel for the triple gauges and was wondering which of the 2 wires powers the light? I unplugged 2 connectors from the radio. 1 that came from the driver's side and 1 that led under the dash toward the passenger's side. I guess I can just put my volt meter each of them and find out which one has voltage on it.

One lead goes to the speaker. The other is the Power lead .. it has two connections ... one for the radio and one for the light.
