Hey everyone. Does anyone have any pics of thier undercarriage? 302/c4 car. I need to see how Ford ran the trans cooler lines from the factory and also which line goes to which inlet in the radiator. I have to bend new ones and the old ones were already off when I started. Thanks

    I've had a few
The line that goes to the rear most hole on the side of the trans goes to the passenger side of the radiator. Front most hole is the "out" and goes to the drivers side of the radiator. At least this is how I have mine hooked up, and it's been working fine for over 8,000 miles now. Just bend the lines so that they don't hit anything.

I'm not sure why the factory had them lines kinda coiled or curled right there in front of the engine. I have a cooler so I had to use some rubber type hoses at the ends of my lines coming from the trans.

One of the lines is formed into a 'U' shape up by the radiator.
I was told that Ford put them in a lot of their cars for easy trans cooler hook up.
Dunno if it's true or not, but that is why that "coil" "loop" or "U turn" (whatever you call it) is supposedly there.

Do yourself a favor and get a trans cooler. I dont know why anyone would want to cool their trans fluid with 180 degree water. 80-90 degree air will work much better.

Our radiators have to work hard enough, as it is, just to keep our engines cool...why add extra heat if you don't have to.

Go with a tranny cooler, fairly cheap, easy to install, and it HAS to be more efficient than stock.
