Wow ... I would say Hedman definitely ripped off Hooker with those headers ... The bends looks just about identical to Hooker 6901's ....

    Hedmans :

    And Hooker 6901 ...

    YUP, look the same.
I tried a set of Patriot "clipster" headers . . . basically shorty headers, and they are WAY wrong. Too bad, cuz they looked really nice. I have never personally seen shorty headers on a Mav/Comet, so I don't know if any particular brand will work or not. I just ditched the idea and went with the long tubes.
Seems like Shelby/tri Y headers would work. Ever seen them on a Mav?

I Had Thought About Trying The 'stock Headers' From A Late Model 5.0 Ho Like What's On My '94 Gt. Just By Looking At Them, They Look Like They Might Actually Work. Ill Prolly Try It On My 4door One Of These Days

It definitely will NOT work with any Fox body headers . . . dont bother trying. The shorties I got from Patriot were for 65-70 stangs. I think that they would NOT have fit the car they were intended for anyway. Looked like a bad design.

just remember on the hookers they go in from the bottom. put the car on jackstands as high as you can. the passenger side goes right in but on the drivers side you have to take the motormount bolt out and raise the engine a couple of inches. should go right in then. :)
