I just posted about my gas tank having a hole in it. Since I cant put gas into the tank, is there any other place I can put gas so I can get the engine running for now? in the carb or something? the fuel line from the gas filter?any ideas? thanks!

You can run a rubber line from a gas can into the fuel pump. Just disconnect the tank line from the pump and stick it in a gas can. I do it all the time while working on a car. Nothing to it.

I've been in a similar place when I first started working on cars. If your looking at the carb, just follow the fuel lines down to where the reach the fuel pump. Then just disconnect the other line.... and take piece of hose and attach it to that side of the pump and put the other end in the Jerry can or what ever you have the gas in.

The fuel pump is on the right side of the motor, as viewed from the front of the car. There are 2 lines coming off of it. 1 goes to the carb on top of the engine, the other disappears into the fender apron. The second is the one you want to disconnect, and run a line from the pump, into a gallon gas can.
