what locations have build sheets been found in? when I got my 72 Maverick the front seat was riped, but it came with a better seat to be put in. when I went to put the seat in I found this:
Under Front seat, behind rear seat, under carpet .... or for the unlucky ... in the garbage can at the end of the assembly line. I personally have found them under front seat and behind rear seat.
For some reason mine had two. One under front seat and one behind back of rear seat. The springs pretty well tore up the front one but the rear was in excellent shape. I display it at car shows.
A family of rodents lived in my comets trunk before I owned and I always wondered what that shredded piece of paper was behind the seat springs. Now I know.
My '74 Grabber had 2 of them. One was found under the front seat by the 3rd owner in the early 80's. He took it out and kept it. It came with the car when I bought it along with a bunch of other original papers. The second one I found under the carpet on the passenger side front taped to the floor board. It was unfortunately destroyed, but I could make out enough things on it that I could tell it was an exact copy of the good one I have.
Never got it. Mine was not there. I have heard of some cars having them wrapped around the under dash wiring harness. Seth
My 77' Mav had 4 of them tucked up in the springs of the front seat. My car somehow ended up with the build sheets for two other Mavericks and a Comet. I guess someone at the factory didn't feel like tearing the other three off of mine. The one in the Stallion was also under the front seat, but it turned to dust when I tried to remove it.
