Just got the S.F.C.s that Dan Starnes made for me (three years ago!) welded-in this morning. 'Very noticable difference in stiffness. I didn't really notice any difference in "feel" when I installed the monte-carlo bar a couple weeks ago, but after installing these S.F.C.s, the difference is one I can definitely feel. Car "seems" to handle better too...:yup:

they're definitely a necessity if you have any kind of a built engine. my fabricator told me my tranny tunnel was cracking from the stress. car handles a whole lot better with them too.:)

    okay...

Subframe connectors. Someone can post a pic to explain it better.
It ties the frame together making it stiffer.

I had tp stop and think a minute, as in all my years, I have never seen subframe connectors called SFCs.

Too many acronyms, to little brain, in my case...

Heard of them, have a general idea what they are, know what they are for, but have never seen them. Can we see some pics for a better idea?

Go to Mavaholics Gallery, there are 2 shots of the bottom of the car that show the bars installed. Look for the round bars connecting the front and rear frame rails together.

I have Dan's bars on my car. Best thing I ever did for it.

The one on the rotisserie, with the white round tubes running under the back seat area?

He also has some black tubes running under his leaf springs, What are those called? I bet they stiffen things up a little, and look pretty easy to fabricate and install.

    SFC's

The white bars are subframe connectors. I guess he got those from Dan.
The black bars under the leaf springs are traction bars. Cal-Tracs I believe.
