I am filling out the registration form for the Fun Ford Sunday in Vallejo in September. http://www.funfordsunday.com/ They have 26 categories for different Fords, Mercuries, models, and years, but none for Mavericks or 70-77 Comets. Last year I registered in Category 28, All Other Fords, how humiliating . There is a category (Number 17) for Falcons and Comets 60-67. So I called the number on the application and spoke to a very nice lady. I suggested adding Mavericks to the Falcon/Comet category and extending the year to 1977. She thought that was a really good idea. I know Mavericks are not that much like Falcons, but at least the Comet name continues into the '70s. Since they don't get many Mavericks or 70's Comets (mine and one other Mav last year), at least this would give our cars a home at this show. What do you think, good idea or not? She said their show is based on the Fabulous Fords Forever show in Knotts Berry Farm. I emailed the Knotts show with the same suggestion. I know some of you go to the Knotts show. Is there a category for Mavericks? Are you able to park together? Where do you park -- with what other models? At least if we are with Falcons and Comets, they can't put us with Pintos. Roz
